‘Propa Butchers’ of Roos
These guys supply all our steak, beef mince, kidney, lamb, venison. The knowledge and expertise this company has is incredible. They only buy ‘the best’ and from Farmers they know personally and trust to ensure the quality of the meats provided is of exceptional quality. Meat isn’t only traceable to the farm but the field, you can’t get any better than that.
‘Bradshaws
A flour miller in Driffield. Bradshaws purchase wheat from local farmers, mill and then we are lucky enough to purchase this and make all our pastry with it.
Soanes Poultry
A local chicken farm in Middleton-On-The-Wolds raising high-quality welfare chicken. This is as natural and as fresh as chicken can possibly be, not pumped with water or preservatives. They also farm sustainably, growing the chicken feed and recycling remains back into fertiliser. Quality of life is a key focus as is ensuring the operations are as ‘green’ as possible so we are proud and lucky to use Soanes chicken in our pies.
Haighs
Haighs supply our Black Pudding - Doreen’s Black Pudding. This is Yorkshire Black Pudding which is noticeable due to its triangular shape and meatier taste as the product is baked not boiled giving it a distinctive texture
Anna’s Happy Trotters
A local pig farmer in East Yorkshire who rears top quality pigs. Pigs are hand selected and reared Free Range, spending days foraging the hillsides of Holme-On-Spalding-Moor. These really are Happy Trotters and this is reflected in the quality and taste. We are proud to be using Anna’s pigs in all our pies.
Elliotts
Our eggs are suppled by Elliotts. These are used for glazing pies, quiches and are available to buy retail. We only use Extra Large Free Range eggs though and many are double yolkers, what a treat.
